Overview

Hotelplus is a software package to handle the important aspects of the Hotel operations. It can be used by small to medium sized hotels, i.e. having 10 to 100 rooms. This software can be installed on a single PC, or can be operated at the same time from a number of PCs connected to your LAN.

The software is built to store the Guest details for millions of guests and stays, for many years, so that you can fathom the details of every stay by any guest quickly. The typical searches are under 1 second.

Hotelplus is offered as a fast, robust & scalable solution, where Dataflow provides an application warranty, and product support under a Service Level Agreement. This is underpinned by an extensive range of available professional services. This sets Hotelplus solution apart from primitive solutions developed by inexperienced companies.

The open source database used for Hotelplus works under Windows as well as Linux. The application itself works under Windows and under Linux with support from Wine. Thus, you can choose to host these components on Windows, Linux or in a mixed environment. This way, the total cost of ownership can be considerably reduced.

Hotelplus has a few 'Dashboards', which give you instant information about the current business operations. For example, the opening screen shows you all the rooms graphically: whether free or occupied as of NOW, along with the Guest name if occupied, along with the date when the guest occupied the room. Another dashboard shows the list of current stays, including the details of billed and unbilled lodging charges. Third dashboard shows the cash balance in your front desk as of NOW.

The software has a number of 'modules', each taking care of a set of related tasks. These modules are well integrated, so that they share the common data. For example, the 'Lodging' module shares the part of the data with the 'Accounting' module.

Because of the integration, the PC user sees all the actions available to him/her as a single 'menu'. These actions are neatly organised as a 'tree', from all the modules installed. This simple & uniform interface to all the available features makes the software easy to understand and use.

Hotelplus has crisp and well designed reports which reflect the business details in an effective way. Since these are provided in the PDF format, these can be easily saved, searched and transmitted using e-mail. Most of the time, there is no need to print the report, as they can be produced quickly again if needed.
